To display your own photos within the thread instead of having to view them as an attachment, you first have to upload them to this site.

A photo from anywhere on the internet can be displayed by first clicking on thehttp://www.majorleaguetalk.com/forums/images/styles/visualdepth/editor/insertimage.gificon in the message editor window. You will be prompted to enter the url of the image. To find the url of most images on the internet, right click on the image and then click on 'properties' The url of the image will be displayed. Select the url text in its entirety and press Control-c (copy). To enter the url of the image when inserting an image in your thread, press Control-v (paste)

The image will appear directly in the thread. Below is an example of posting an image from elsewhere on the internet. As you can see, right clicking on this image shows its url: http://www.slatercrosby.com/images/food/1a.jpg Right clicking on the photo posted above shows that the photo is from this site.

Silly me, always telling people how to do things the hard way.

To insert a picture from anywhere on the internet into a thread on this board, find the picture you want to insert, right click on the image, then select 'Copy'.

Within the message editor on this website, position the cursor where you want to insert the picture, then press Control V (paste). You can also right click in the message editor window and select 'Paste'. The image will appear in your message. You won't be able to resize the picture but you can change the alignment to right, center, or left by selecting the image then clicking on one of the alignment icons
