I am submitting this for a gun show friend Arleen Brosch. She served it at a party recently and I was very impressed with the flavor and how easy she was able to make it. We had the leftovers the next evening and it was even better after the flavors had time to meld.
I cup Ketchup
3 tablespoons A-1 Sauce
1 tablespoon of Tabasco
1 bunch of Cilantro (chopped)
1 bunch of Green Onions (diced)
1 Medium Yellow Onion (chopped)
Jalapenos (I use 2 or 3 depending on how hot you want it)
3 Medium Tomatoes (diced)
3 or 4 Avocados (diced) the more the better
1 lb Shrimp cooked (I use large ones and cut in 1/3rds or 1/4th)
Mix Ketchup, A-1 and Tabasco
Chop Cilantro and Yellow Onion
Dice the Jalapenos very fine after you have seeded them
Dice green onion with some of the tops
Dice Tomatoes and Avacados and add last stirring gently.
Add cut up Shrimp
Cover and chill for several hours. This will last in your refrigerator for 5 days. If you are having it for a party where it will be out for several house put in a bowl of ice to keep fresh and chilled.
This makes enough for 15 hearty servings. Cut in half or even thirds if you are serving a smaller group. It makes a great dip type food or can be put in small bowls and let everyone have their own bowl.
Serve with your choice of crackers and or Tortilla chips.
NOTE: fresh jalapenos are best, but you can use canned if need be.
