This is great served with Pork Chops, Ham or Baked Chicken, not just at Christmas time.
1 pound raw cranberries*
2 & 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup shelled and chopped walnuts
1 cup tart orange marmalade
Juice of one lemon or lime
Wash and drain cranberries. Put in shallow baking pan. Stir in sugar.
Bake one hour a 350 degrees. Put nuts in same oven is separate container to toast during the last 10 minutes of baking.
Add nuts and remaining ingredients (marmalade, citrus juice) to cranberries. Mix well. Chill. If you are going to cover pan while chilling make sure you vent so it doesn't sweat.
*Many cranberries now come in 12 oz. pkgs. so you may use two twelve oz. pkgs. and one and one-half times the other
