1 medium head cabbage
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoon flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 lb Velvetta cheese, cubed (half a whole 2 lb loaf)
Cut core from cabbage and cut cabbage in quarters. Cook cabbage until tender in water
with salt and pepper, but do not overcooked, drain. Melt butter in pan and add enough flour
to make pasty or gravy. Add milk and stir until it begins to thicken. Add cubed cheese and
stir until melted. Pour over drained cabbage. Sprinkle Topping over cabbage and bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
TOPPING:
1 stick butter
1 package (tube) of crumbled saltine crackers
Melt butter and mix in crumbs
