RECIPE POST ON BEHALF OF ROYOSFAN

These are a great appetizer, and we just throw them together and have no written recipe.

Turn on Broiler. With one rack in center of oven.
Package of Sun-Maid Pitted Dates
Pound of Bacon
Block of Sharp or Medium Cheddar Cheese (best with Sharp)
toothpicks
Cut each back strip into thirds, unless bacon slices are short, then cut in half.
Slice date open
Cut cheese into little blocks which will fit into date.
Place a little cheese block into each date. Wrap bacon slice around each stuffed date
and secure with toothpick.
Place on a broiler proof baking pan, approximately one inch apart. Place broiler pan under
hot broiler and watch carefully that they do not burn. When bacon is cooked on first side,
remove from under broiler and turn over to cook bacon on other side. When bacon is cooked on both sides,
remove broiler pan from oven, carefully remove to platter. People will gobble these up.
The dates are sweet, the sharp cheese is flavorful and the bacon adds just the right touch.
