2 cups warm water
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 egg; slightly beaten
1/2 cup sugar
2 pkg. dry yeast
6 1/2 to 7 cups flour (white or whole wheat flour can be used)
Combine yeast with warm water and then other ingredents, adding flour a little at a time, in large bowl;
cover with damp cloth and refrigerate 2 hours. Shape into desired shapes. Cover with dry cloth and let
rise until double. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until light golden brown. When you take from the oven,
rub tops of rolls with a stick of butter or margarine or brush tops with melted butter with a pastry brush. Lightly does it.
These are so good and slightly sweet as well as with a nice yeast taste.
