1 1/2 cups of sugar
2 dashes of salt
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup plus 1 teaspoon flour, sifted
1 can evaporated milk
1 can of water (use milk can)
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Put egg in medium pot and whisk. Add butter, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt and half the can of milk.
Cook on medium until flour and sugar are smooth stirring all the time. Add rest of milk and can of
water and cook stirring until mixture starts to bubble and starts to thicken. If you don't keep stirring
it will stick to bottom and burn.
NOTE: I use this recipe for my banana pudding. Just alternate vanilla wafers, banana slices and the pudding to make a fantastic banana pudding. This is enough to serve 8 to 10 hungry adults. HINT: I let my banana pudding sit for a couple hours so the wafers get kinda soft. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. The banana might turn dark, but they are ok to eat.
