1/2 stick real butter
1 cup chopped nuts (I prefer pecan)
2 cups sliced or chopped, apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
Melt butter, add nuts and slightly toast
in skillet, add apples and stir well.
Cover and cook on low heat until apples
just start to soften. Remove cover, add
sugar and stir stir stir. I like to turn
the heat up at this point. Serve alone or
with whipped topping. This is also good
if you want to make a struedel topping,
or toast oatmeal in the skillet with sugar
and sprinkle over the top. Nice little dessert
for a winter evening.
