1 pound dried beans, white lima
1/2 half a medium onion chopped
1/3 lb cubed salt pork or 6 slices of bacon chopped
1 small carrot, grated fine
2/3 cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 small stalk celery, chopped
2/3 cup tomato soup
Soak beans if you live in area where water is hard.
Mix all but sugar and cook on low heat until beans are tender.
Let water cook down some, but be careful that beans don't scorch.
Just before beans are done, add sugar and simmer 15 minutes.
Pour in dish and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
