1 angel food cake
2 cans cherry pie filling
1 large box vanilla instant pudding
8oz whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 can Eagle Brand type milk
Slice the cake into thin pieces with a serrated bread knife. Beat the whipping cream until it thickens some. Add extract, milk and pudding to the mixture and blend together well.
Place half the cake in the bottom of a 9x13 glass pan. Top with one can of cherry pie filling.
Put half the cream mixture on top of cherries. Then next layer of cake, cherry pie filling and end with cream on top.
Cover and put in frig for at least 6 hours. Overnight is even better so the cake melts and flavors meld together.
NOTE: This cake is so good and not as sweet as you think it would be. It is one of my famlies favorites and I am always ask to make it for potluck dinners.
