4 cups peeled sliced pears
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup pear nectar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup all-porpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup margarine
3 tablespoons ice water
2 teaspoons skim milk or regular milk
2 teaspoons sugar
Frozen yogart or ice cream
*Combine pears and lemon juice in bowl, toss well.
*Coat 8 inch square pan with low-fat cooking spray
*Place pears in pan and top with nectar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
*Combine flour and salt in large bowl and cut in margarine with pastry blender
until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle ice water, small amount at a time,
over surface and toss with folk until mixture is crumbly. Chill dough for 15 minutes
*Roll dough to an 8 inch square and place on top of pears. Cut slits in dough and
brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
*Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes or until lightly brown and bubbly.
Serve warm topped with frozen yogurt or ice cream.
