1 package of cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1 cup chunky salsa
1 cup of black beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
2 tablespoons pitted ripe olives, sliced or minced.
1 small to medium tomato chopped (optional)
1 avocado cut in small pieces (optional)

Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until creamy. Mix in taco seasoning and beat well.
Spread in bottom of pie plate or serving plate (I spread it in a circle). Top with salsa, beans, green onions, cheese, lettuce, olives and tomato and avocado if you choose.
The recipe doesn't call for the last two items but I added them because I think they make it even better.

Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Serve with Tortilla chips.

HINT: Drain and rinse black beans ahead of time and chill so the salad gets cold faster.
Be sure they are rinsed and drained well.
